Apple kept to their word and on Wednesday released iOS 5 for users around the world. iTunes 10.5 (which was released on Tuesday) is required before you can download the update. A federal Magistrate Judge Joseph C. Spero has awarded Sony a subpoena allowing them to obtain the IP addresses of everyone who visited the personal website of Geohot for the past 26 months. In addition to this, the judge also granted Sony’s request for subpoenas on YouTube Channel, Google, Twitter, and another service for information relating to accounts held by George Hotz. The move came in as a part of ongoing legal battle between Sony and Geohot.

The famous iPhone hacker Sherif Hashim has recently released a video which shows an untethered iOS 4.2.1 jailbreak for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch along with the unlock for the iPhone 4.
