If you are using Mobile Safari on iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch running iOS 5.1, than you should be cautious of a security issue that involves address bar spoofing. The iOS developer, @Notcom recently released an updated version of his TinyUmbrella to version 5.10.08. TinyUmbrella 5.10.08 can save iOS 5.1 SHSH blobs for the new iPad (iPad 3) and Apple TV 3G. You can download TinyUmbrella 5.10.08from the link below.

For those of you who don’t already know, TinyUmbrella lets you save SHSH blobs for the Apple TV, iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch, which are required to be able to downgrade the device firmware to an older version. Alternatively, you can use tools like SHSH Blob Extractor or iSHSHit.

The iPhone Dev Team has successfully jailbroken the new iPad, but there has been no indication of the release of a jailbreak tool at the moment. MuscleNerd tweeted photos of the Jailbreak along with the disclaimer “Just a first step, still lots of work to do! No ETA!”

PayPal officially announced the mobile payment solution with the free “PayPal Here” reader and accompanying free iOS and Android application.

In a Building Windows 8 post written by two SkyDrive program managers, Microsoft detailed the SkyDrive Metro, the service’s tight integration with Windows 8, SkyDrive on the desktop, and fetching files through SkyDrive.com.

As Microsoft explains, the Metro app, which is built on WinRT and written using web technologies (Javascript, HTML, and CSS), will be available to any Metro application via the OS’s file picker.
