Clearwire Plans To Adopt 4G LTE
0Clearwire recently announced its intent to adopt LTE across its network. Samsung Announces Plans For Dual-Core Phones and Tablets At MWC
0February looks to be a big month for the cell phone side of Samsung as the company is to announce dual-core mobile devices and a new set of tablets at the Mobile World Congress trade show. Samsung Releases Update For Epic 4G – Includes Media Hub and Bug Fixes
0Yesterday, Samsung released a quick minor update for the Epic 4G. There are only a small handful of changes, including some light optimizations and a few small bug fixes. More importantly though, the update adds Media Hub functionality. Media Hub is the new service that was introduced last night by Samsung and provides access to movies and TV shows from most of the big companies (which isn’t too bad at all). Possibility of Clearwire Pay-As-You-Go Service
0Recent SEC filings all seem to indicate that the WiMAX provider Clearwire is planning a new pay-as-you-go cellular data service. The filings read that Clearwire “plans to serve a new pay-as-you-go customer segment.” Although it is not exactly clear as to what Clearwire has planned if anything, analysts speculate that the move was prompted by MetroPCS’ impending entry into the pre-paid 4G market place. Sprint’s Evo 4G To Release June 4 – Has Two Way Voice Chat
1It has finally been announced and made official, Sprint will have the Android powered HTC Evo 4G on sale for $200 on June 4th, which was even earlier than expected. It is said to feature the two-way video chat on 3G and 4G networks, which makes sense given the forward-facing camera that it is implemented.
Although the pricing and release aren’t really a surprise, more information about the two-way chat was revealed. The device is said to run Qik, which is a third party app, which means that you’d likely be able to make cellphone-to-computer calls, which definitely has its own appeal.
