1The latest and the greatest Android phone, the Google Nexus S is now available for purchase in US at Best Buy. Customers in UK will be able to purchase it starting from December 20th.
Designed by the folks (Google) in Mountain View, California, and manufactured by Samsung, Nexus S will be the first phone powered by the just announced Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Google’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread To Release “In A Few Weeks”
2Earlier today, Engadget announced that both Android 2.3 Gingerbread and the Samsung Nexus S were officially announced to release. The OS that was said to be released brought the updates to the SDK and the NDK as well as SDK tools and the Eclipse ADT plugin. Shortly after Engadget’s post, which has now been deleted, Google’s Reto Meier recently sent out a tweet refuting any OTA rumors and putting the Gingerbread update timeline as “in a few weeks”:
