WordPress is now Available for Android

Got a blog? Got a Android-powered phone?

Now you can write, edit, moderate comments, and preview your posts and pages with WordPress’ own Android application.

The app’s exceedingly similar to what’s available on the iPhone, except, well, you use ‘long presses’ instead of sideways swipes to act on posts, comments, and pages. You’ll need to enable XML-RPC under the ‘Remote Publishing’ section of your Word PressWriting settings on your blog, but it’s just a single checkmark to tick.

How To Backup your SMS Message to a GMail Label on Andriod

Android users without Google Voice can still back up and read SMS messages online. The free SMS Backup App automatically transfers your SMS messages to a Gmail label as they come in.

You’ll need to enable IMAP in your Gmail settings and give SMS Backup your Gmail username and password. After that, though, the app can back up the SMS messages you’ve stored on your phone to a Gmail label—”SMS” by default, but you can change it to anything you want. You also have an option to choose whether to have those messages appear as unread when they land in your label.

AndroidLock – Android Style lock/unlock for iPhone

An Android phone features a unique lockscreen, where you have to connect various dots to unlock your phone rather than enter in a passcode or slide to unlock. There are 9 dots in total, and gives a little extra security just incase your friend happens to look over while you punch in your numbered code.

Just released to Rock and Cydia, comes AndroidLock, available now for free. This iPhone and iPod tweak will transform your iPhone lockscreen into an Android styled lockscreen where you connect dots in the same manner to unlock your phone. Simply draw the pattern to unlock.
