Google Pulls 50+ Malware Infected Apps From Android App Market
0As per reports from several sources, security experts announced that Google has pulled more than 50 malware-infected apps from its Android Market, but hasn’t yet triggered automatic uninstalls of those programs from users’ phones.

BlueputDroid: Allows Android Phone As Keyboard/Mouse For PS3
0Folks over at AndroidSpin reported that “berserker_devel” an XDA-Developer member has managed to find a way to turn your Android device into a wireless mouse for your PlayStation 3. The app is called BlueputDroid, and will only work on a rooted device to act as a keyboard or mouse for both PC and PS3.
Currently in beta form, BlueputDroid is available for download on AppBrain should you wish to give the mousey goodness a whirl.

0Android 2.3.2 Gingerbread has been leaked for the Samsung Galaxy S i9000. The build number of the firmware is I9000XWJV1. Along with a link to the ROM and its original over at a Polish Android forum, the original poster Lorbas is claiming they have confirmation that this leak is the official working build of Gingerbread that will eventually grace the Galaxy S line of phone.
It also looks like Samsung is now using the ext4 file system, which should bring performance boosts much like the ones on the Nexus S.

Next Iteration Of iOS To Bring Android Like Gesture Based Lockscreen To iPhone, iPad and iPod touch
1Apple is currently working on a new gesture based lockscreen, one which will work similarly to the dots screen pattern found on Android devices according to the folks over at 9to5Mac.
As of right now, iOS users have to slide-in and enter a password (assuming the password feature is enabled) in order to unlock the lockscreen on the device. If the screenshots, are anything to go by, Apple might be introducing (possibly with iOS 5) a new gesture based lockscreen, where you will have to connect 9 dots in a custom specified way to unlock your device.
