iPodTouch_3d_display

A recent report from a Japanese blog by the name of Macotakara states that according to their sources, Apple is toying with the idea of adding glass free 3D technology to the next generation of it’s iPod Touch. The iPod Touch would be a direct pocket-gaming competitor to Nintendo’s upcoming 3DS portable gaming console. This report comes after a multitude of 3D related patents that Apple has granted over the past few years. MacStories, discussing the report, wrote that Apple would be integrating the 3D technology “without any external peripheral or accessory.”

It seems that the 3D screens would be supplied by Sharp, who is currently in the process of developing small, glasses-free LCD screens that [...]

iphoneunlock

Apple has once again started revitalizing its efforts to stop the process of jailbreaking and unlocking iPhones but doesn’t look to be gaining any ground on the subject. Nadair Jackson, the college student from the video below, is among the many people who are now flooding Craigslist and Ebay with offers of either selling an unlocked/jailbroken iPhone or charging a fee to perform the process of unlocking/jailbreaking the phone. Check out the video to hear Nadair describe how it works?:

Project HiJack – iOS Device Accessories Made For Under $3

iPhone_Square_Peripheral

This process of utilizing a 2 in 1 method for attaching the accessory allows for development of creative and useful attachments for the iDevices. Most of the time, the biggest cost in production of an iOS data sensor is from the right to use the “Made for iPhone/iPad/iPod” logo and the 30-pin connector. What project “HiJack” is doing is allowing development of hardware and software that don’t require the label and [...]

iOS 4.3 Beta Discovery Hints To Huge Performance Boost For iDevices

ios43_fastergpu

A very exciting discovery has been found inside the iOS 4.3 beta regarding the future performance we’ll see from our iDevices. Even though it isn’t used currently, the PowerVR SGX543 which is the smallest OpenCL-capable graphics core, has been included in the beta which points to the potential that Apple is looking to incorporate it into at least one of its future devices. If the iPad or iPhone were to use the power of this co-processor, we could expect to see performance that is comparable to laptop computers.

Imagination Technology’s PowerVR SGX535 is what Apple currently uses as a graphics co-processor in the A4 chip. iPhone 3GS, Motorola’s Droid, Samsung’s Galaxy S and Galaxy [...]

iPad 2 And iPhone 5 Rumors Fly Creating Excitement And Speculation

The flood of rumors surrounding Apple and it’s upcoming products continues to grow, and some of these reports are gaining some validity. First off, there’s the mysterious iPad 2 dummy model that was seen at CES 2011. The model was non working, not confirmed by anyone as being potentially in development: but the rumors of a “super high resolution” screen similar to the iPhone 4′s Retina Display aren’t really out of the question. There’s also talk of a SD card slot, and this is one that we’re not seeing as having any truth behind it unless Apple is looking to market the iPad like the easy-open G3 towers, openable and customizable. Reports stating the screen size [...]

Xbox360New-Kinect
