GeoHot has recently been in his own fair share of troubles. His latest problems with the law involve Sony suing him for violation of the DMCA, computer fraud, and copyright infringement. Sony has been granted a temporary restraining order which “forbids him from distributing the jailbreak, helping or encouraging others to jailbreak, and distributing information they’ve learned during the creation of the jailbreak,” according to his Wikipedia page.

The legal battle between Sony and George Hotz (GeoHot), took a surprising turn today. U.S. District Judge Susan Illston ruled from the bench, ordering GeoHot to hand over his computer hard drives to Sony. Just recently you may have noticed the update for the PlayStation 3 firmware 3.56 release. We have also discussed the jailbreak possibility of the latest firmware version. Recently, Rovio and 20th Century Fox have just released a new trailer for a new Angry Birds game, titled Angry Birds Rio. According to the press release, the game will be released for smartphones and tablets worldwide, including the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. Restraining Order Against GeoHot Granted By California Court

The Washington Post recently reported this morning that a California court has recently approved Sony’s restraining order against GeoHot. Less than three weeks ago, the consumer electronics giant, Sony, proceeded to file an order against jailbreaker extraordinaire George Hotz also known as GeoHot. Sony Announces “NGP” – Next-Gen PSP Featuring Quad Core Processor

Sony recently announced the next generation PlayStation Portable (PSP) which is codenamed NGP will be featuring a Quad-Core-Cortex A9 processor along with a Quad-Core PowerVR SGX543MP+GPU. Sony recently released another firmware update for the PlayStation 3 console – an update designed to close security weaknesses in the system. These specific weaknesses were allowing hackers to use a custom firmware program, otherwise known as jailbreaking into the PS3 system. With the big reveal of the $249.99 price tag, the Nintendo 3DS is finally official, now there’s only one question left, how much will the games cost? A total of 30+ titles have been announced to hit shelves coming to us all the way up to the time of E3. Microsoft is bringing back a feature it had previously taken out  and though it’s a small change it’s expected to have a big effect.
