Official Google Voice App For iPhone Now Available In App Store

Google has finally released their official Google Voice application for the iPhone. Back in September, we had reported that the Official Google Voice app was approved and resubmitted to the App Store but did not release it as it was apparently being revamped by Google to support the iPhone 4 and the multitasking capabilities of iOS 4.x.

The official Google Voice app gives you access to the following features:

  • Cheap rates for international calls
  • Free text messaging to U.S. numbers
  • Voicemail transcription
  • Display your Google Voice number as caller ID when making calls

OpeniBoot To Bring Android To iPad and iPhone 4 [VIDEO]

The folks who brought us OpeniBoot based Bootlace for running Android on iPhone 3G are now working hard on porting it to iPhone 4 and the iPad.

For those of you who don’t know, OpeniBoot is an open source implementation of iBoot bootloader for Apple iOS based devices. It allows booting of unsigned code such as Linux kernels on the device. OpeniBoot is critical for booting and usage of Linux based distros such as Android on the iPhone as it sets up and initializes many devices ready for the Linux kernel to take over.

Android 2.3 / 3.0 Gingerbread Said To Launch November 11th

With the Nexus Two news going around, IntoMobile received a tip from a “trusted source” who says that the potential launch date for Android 2.3 / 3.0 Gingerbread is set for November 11th. If you look at the 11th November date in regards to the rumored November 8th Samsung Nexus Two announcement, then the rumor sounds just right.

Banks Testing Apple iPhones; RIM Losing Grip On Corporate Market

As more and more businesses are switching to Apple products, Jobs is trying to make the move on two of the biggest U.S banks to become iPhone supporters. Bank of America Corp. and Citigroup Inc. are considering whether to let employees use the Apple iPhone as an alternative to RIM’s Blackberry for corporate e-mail. The banks are currently testing software for the iPhone that is designed to make it secure enough for company messages. Google Introduces Instant Search To Mobile Devices

Google is slowly rolling out Google Instant to select android phones, and iPhone/iPodTouch devices running iOS 4 or later, two months after it launched this new search experience for the desktop. Currently it’s in Beta, but it is usable. Google Instant displays the search results as you type, Google believes that it makes search faster and saves valuable time.

There are rumors about a big release date coming and you  might want to check up on it before signing up for another 2-year contract with your carrier. Chrome 7 Released With Several Bug Fixes And More HTML5 Support
