The much anticipated JailbreakMe 3.0 untethered jailbreak solution for users currently using iOS 4.2.1 may be delayed until further notice; this time dependent on the release of iOS 4.3. Comex replied with a sift and simple (similar to Steve Job style e-mails) that it all depends when iOS 4.3 is out. Mimesign is a touchless gesture user interface for the iPad created by the Norway based company Ellipitic Labs. The technology that they’re developing will allow users to control and operate the iPad without having to make any actual contact with the device, much like the Kinect for Xbox 360. MobileMagazine reports that unlike the Kinect which uses cameras to capture the motions of the user, Mimesign is using ultrasound technology to try to accomplish the same effect. The one foot ultrasound field would be generated on either side of the docked iPad, allowing users to move their hands in More >
