PwnageTool 4.3 Offers Tethered Jailbreak for iOS 4.3.2

Apple released iOS 4.3.2 firmware for iPhone 4, iPad and iPod touch 3G/4G and it has been successfully jailbroken for iPhone 4 using the PwnageTool 4.3 bundle for Mac users. Support for iPhone 3GS and iPod touches is on the way! But just like the Redsn0w 0.9.6rc12 jailbreak, PwnageTool 4.3 too is limited to tethered boot only, which means that you will have to boot your iOS device in tethered state on every reboot.

Apple released iOS 4.3.2 today, and as per the iPhone Dev-Team’s member Musclenerd, RedSn0w 0.9.6rc12 is capable of performing a tethered jailbreak of iOS 4.3.2 for both Mac & Windows users if pointed to the iOS 4.3.1

last week’s redsn0w can JB 4.3.2 (if you point it at 4.3.1 IPSW) but that’s a tethered JB (doesn’t imply anything about @i0n1c’s untether)

Ultrasn0w 1.2.1 Unlock Released For iPhone 4 And 3GS On iOS 4.3.1

As expected, iPhone Dev team has released an updated version of Ultrasn0w – v1.2.1 to fix the iOS 4.3.1 compatibility issues and to also the signal bar issue reported by users who had jailbroken their iPhone using PwnageTool, Redsn0w or Sn0wbreeze for iOS 4.3.1.

Ultrasn0w 1.2.1 for iOS 4.3.1 currently supports iPhone 4 baseband 01.59.00 and iPhone 3GS basebands 04.26.08, 05.11.07, 05.12.01, 05.13.04 and 06.15.00.

Back when iOS 4.3 was still in beta, it was all about the new fancy multitouch gestures for switching between apps as well as returning to the home screen on iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. The feature actually never found its way into the final release unless you use Xcode and turn your iDevice into developer hardware. This isn’t strictly true though. A new tweak is now available on the jailbreak store, Cydia, that will enabled the aforementioned multitouch gestures with the tap of a button.

The iPhone Dev-Team has released an updated version of Redsn0w 0.9.6rc12 for iOS 4.3.1 untethered jailbreak. The new Redsn0w 0.9.6rc12 is said to fix “any lingering issues with the boot animation”.

We recently told you about the upcoming version of Sn0wbreeze, iH8sn0w has released Sn0wbreeze 2.5.1 for untethered iOS 4.3.1 jailbreak. Apart from fixing number of minor bugs the developer has added a number of options in updated version. The new version brings full support for jailbreaking Apple TV 2G, Animate (animated boot logos) by the Chronic Dev Team, Cydia 1.1.1 and other bug fixes.

There’s a lot going on in the iPhone jailbreak community, with the release of the untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.2.1 via Sn0wbreeze, Redsn0w and PwnageTool. The developer behind Sn0wbreeze iH8sn0w recently posted on his twitter account that he will be releasing Sn0wbreeze 2.5.1 very soon.  The updated version sn0wbreeze 2.5.1 is expected to bring bug fixes etc and some other minor updates.

MuscleNerd of iPhone Dev Team has confirmed that an updated version of Ultrasn0w unlock (version 1.3) will be released in the next few days. The new version will address signal bar issues on iOS 4.3.1 compatible iPhones, running on the old baseband.
