Apple’s iPhone will be available to all Carriers in US?

Tim Horan, a telecommunications analyst at Oppenheimer &Co is predicting that Apple’s iPhonewill be available on all US carriers over the next 18 months.

According to Tim, this change in strategy in the US will help Apple sell two or three times more iPhones. The strategy of multiple carriers is already paying rich dividends in the UK.

Tim Horan said:

We believe AT&T’s iPhone exclusivity arrangement with Apple will be expiring by mid-2010.

The iPhone Dev-Team has done it again!!

We always recomment Dev-Team jailbreak tools, and they have released the long awaited RedSn0w 0.9 to jailbreak iPhone & iPod Touch OS 3.1.2. RedSn0w is a safer alternate to BlackRa1n to jailbreak and unlock.

iPhone App in the news coming out of the horrendous tragedy in Haiti. Colorado Springs resident Dan Woolley was at a Port-au-Prince hotel when that tremendous earthquake struck, trapping him with a compound fracture in his leg and a laceration on his head. Fortunately for Dan, he had his iPhone and a medical app with him (and a whole lot of luck), which he used to successfully diagnose and treat his injuries.

Is Apple Going to Announce iPhone 4G with OS 4.0 on Verizon?

Apple might be announcing the iPhone 4G loaded with OS 4.0 on Verizon on it’s upcoming event on Wednesday 27th.

Canaccord Adams analyst Peter Misek Quoted -

“Together with our semi-conductor partners, we have ascertained that there is a reasonable chance the Asian supply chain is prepping for mass production of a new iPhone in March, for availability in late Q2, likely June,” Misek wrote in a note to clients today.

White House Event’s now on iPhone?

 The White House iPhone app is mostly a pretty package of feeds and photos, but the actually interesting part is that it streams live video of White House events, starting with the State of the Union address next week.

As expected, most of us will be pre-occupied with a different keynote speech on Wednesday (Apple Event, Jan.27th). A mobile version of WhiteHouse.gov for other, non-iPhone phones is supposedly on the way, if you’re feeling left out.

Bing to be default search engine in iPhone OS 4.0?

Rumor has it that the next iPhone OS could be the default search engine. BusinessWeek is reporting that Apple is in talks with Microsoft to have Bing replace Google as the default search engine.
