It seems to be one of the hottest topics being talked about right now but nobody seems to know the real answer to one of the most important questions: Where exactly is the hack that will get Siri working on an iPhone 4?
Thanks to Steve Troughton-Smith and Grant Paul, we have seen videos of it working but the pair has been reluctant to make the hack available, at least the non-paying public. In a recent blog post, @chpwn has cleared things up by explaining why the port hasn’t been made publicly available, and as we suspected, it all comes down to copyright.
As of right now, in order to get Siri to work on the [...]

Apple has recently confirmed that the company has sold over one million iPhone 4S devices in pre-orders. This officially makes the iPhone 4S the most successful iPhone ever. The previous record was from last year’s iPhone 4 launch which totaled over 600,000 in one day. Despite disappointment after Apple’s announcement last week of the company’s next-generation iPhone, Apple has seemed to come out on top. This year, Apple has a large amount of global carrier partners for the launch, including Verizon AND Sprint in the United States. It still doesn’t take away from how impressive the numbers are though.
You can read Apple’s official press release regarding the subject below:

According to InMobi’s research (a mobile ad network), 41% of mobile users in North America plan to purchase the iPhone 5. Furthermore, 50% of those planning to purchase the phone will buy it within the first six months after it is launched, which could propel its current 27% smartphone market share to 41%. InMobi did add one caveat to their study: if Apple decides to release a minor upgrade to the current iPhone just 15% of consumers will purchase the new device.
InMobi’s research revealed what the customers hoped the new iPhone would have: upgrades to the processing speed, screen resolution, battery life, and service quality. 51% of current iPhone owners, 27% of BlackBerry owners, [...]

In what seems to be a bizarre repeat of an incident that occured last year, Apple managed to lose another next-generation iPhone prototype in a fashion similar to the conditions in which the iPhone 4 went missing months before the fourth generation device was meant to be seen in public. This time, the iPhone 5 prototype appears to be missing and was found by someone at a bar in San Francisco’s Mission District in a bar named Cava 22.
There seems to be a lot of questions in the air but what is known for sure is that Apple is working with the police to recover what is presently believed to be a missing iPhone 5 [...]

The folks over at MacPost leaked pictures recently of the next generation iPhone’s back panel and today they leaked pictures of the front. The photos show an iPhone front panel labeled “N94″ with an “Engineering Verification Test 1″ stamp, and is dated March 3, 2011. The unit has the entire front panel assembly for the “N94″ including a digitizer panel, an LCD, and a space for a physical home button. There was speculation in last week’s leak that the physical home button would be replaced by a touch area or be moved completely. These images seem to state otherwise though.
The design also appears to be a carbon copy of the iPhone [...]

Apple is said to have recently filed a new patent application that describes sophisticated voice recognition technology that would allow greater control of the iPhone compared to before. The iPhone currently includes a Voice Control feature but this feature is generally said to remain unnoticed by a vast majority of users. The latest patent entitled “User Profiling for Voice Input Processing” described how an iPhone could be used to perform more complex tasks than is currently possible today.
An example of this would be creating a Genius playlist featuring a certain artist. You could just ask for it to do that. You can call your good friend or parents by just saying their name. The patent [...]

Apple’s CEO, Steve Jobs resigned as chief executive office of the iconic tech firm which he co-founded in the late 1970′s. According to a press release issued by Apple, Jobs said the following to the Apple Board of Directors and the broader Apple Community:
I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come.
I hereby resign as CEO of Apple. I would like to serve, if the Board sees fit, as Chairman of the [...]

In the ongoing rumors regarding Apple’s iPhone 5 release being September or October, we are now hearing for the first time about AT&T officials leaking word of the iPhone 5 release being in October.
According to a report from BGR, a high-ranked AT&T official seems to have spilled the bills on an October iPhone 5 launch by running top secret information down the flag pole to his or her retail managers. Specifically, “high level” AT&T sources” reveal that September marks the iPhone 5 unveiling but the product will be rolled out in stores a few weeks later.
