As expected, the iPhone Dev-Team has finally released the untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.3.1 via Redsn0w 0.9.6 RC9 and PwnageTool 4.3. Except for the iPad 2, this new untethered jailbreak is compatible with all devices, including: iPhone 4, 3GS, iPad (1st-gen) and iPod touch 3G/4G on iOS 4.3.1 firmware.

We recently posted about iPhone Dev Team member and developer, Musclenerd confirming that Stefan Esser has delivered his untethered iOS 4.3.1 jailbreak solution to iPhone Dev Team and Redsn0w 0.9.8 is in stable state. So we are now expecting Redsn0w 0.9.8 and PwnageTool 4.3 to be released soon. The upcoming untethered 4.3.1 will work on all iOS devices except for iPad 2.

Apple Facing iPod Batteries Shortage Due To Quake In Japan

According to a recent report from The Wall Street Journal — Apple may be facing a shortage of lithium polymer batteries that are used in its iPod line of music players. iPhone Dev Team Confirms – iOS 4.3.1 Untethered Jailbreak Exploit Stable

iPhone Dev Team member and developer, Musclenerd has just confirmed that Stefan Esser’s untethered iOS 4.3.1 jailbreak exploit is stable enough and the dev-team is just working some minor GUI and Cydia issues.

If you unaware, earlier Stefan Esser who is a security expert and does have an untethered jailbreak solution has delivered it to the iPhone Dev Team. The dev team is currently doing a beta test with this exploit.

Untethered Jailbreak For iOS 4.3.1 Goes In Beta

Things seem to be a lot of activity going on in the jailbreak community since Stefan Esser – aka i0n1c – uncovered a new iOS 4.3.x exploit a couple of days ago: according to the iPhone security expert, the Dev Team is already beta-testing the exploit, in order to include it in an upcoming jailbreak tool.

While no date has been given at this stage, it shouldn’t take long before the Dev Team finally comes up with a full, untethered jailbreak compatible with iOS 4.3 and iOS 4.3.1.
