Redsn0w 0.9.8b2 Released; Offers Tethered Jailbreak For iOS 5.0b3

Users who were updating to iOS 5 beta 3 and jailbreaking with Redsn0w previously reported experiencing AppStore application issues where these apps just didn’t work. iOS developer and hacker ih8sn0w mentioned the following to clarify why this bug was occuring:

redsn0w seems to be having sandbox errors due to it using the old b1 kernel. I and many others have not seen any issues with sn0wbreeze related to AppStore apps. If you prefer to use redsn0w, I am sure @MuscleNerd is working on a fix.

iH8sn0w has released Sn0wbreeze 2.8 b4 to  jailbreak iOS 5 beta 3 on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. As always, Sn0wbreeze is a Windows jailbreak tool.

Apple Releases iOS 5 Beta 3; Jailbreak Confirmed Using RedSn0w 0.9.8b1

Apple recently started seeing iOS 5 beta 3 and iTunes 10.5 beta 3 for developers today. The following devices are supported for iOS 5 beta 3:

  • iPad 2

TinyUmbrella Updated To 5.00.02; Fixes Issue With Saving CDMA iPhone 4 SHSH Blobs

JailbreakMe 3.0 Release Date Leaked – Said To Be July 5th

For people who didn’t already know, JailbreakMe 3.0 was leaked earlier this holiday weekend and Comex has been racing against Apple to release the official jailbreak tool before Apple patches it with iOS 4.3.4. Speculation previously pointed to Comex having a little less than 10 days to release his jailbreak tool. Earlier today, a tester for JailbreakMe 3.0 leaked a wi-fi iPad 2 .pdf, which essentially contained part of the code utilized in the iPad 2 jailbreak soon to be found in JailbreakMe 3.0.
