Several people are asking about the iOS 5 jailbreak and well there is good news as we reported before; MuscleNerd has jailbroken the OS with iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 1, 3rd and 4th gen iPod Touch compatibility. Just a day after releasing iTunes 10.3 to support some early iCloud features such as automatic downloads and access to previously purchased content, Apple has released iTunes 10.3.1, to fix critical issues in the application.

Apple recently announced iOS 5 at the WWDC, just a few days out and the OS has already been jailbroken, now a developer named Mert Erdir has found a vulnerability which allows you to upgrade to iOS 5 without having any developer account.

MuscleNerd of the iPhone Dev Team has recently posted pictures on his twitter account, confirming the jailbreak works fine on iOS 5, but is currently limited to a tethered boot only, which means you will have to connect it to your computer on every reboot. Apple’s iOS App Store, which is home to over 500,000 applications is currently down according to many tips we are receiving from our readers. Reports of the first outage came in shortly after 2:00 PM Eastern time.
