Comex previously tweeted that he had fixed all the unionfs issues that were hindering the iPad 2 jailbreak process through the userland (PDF) based jailbreak tool “JailbreakMe 3.0″ but it seems as he is still struggling to solve some of them. The good news for iPad 2 jailbreakers, is that Comex is ready to release his “JailbreakMe 3.0″ tool to jailbreak the iPad 2 within the next 48 hours, with or without fixing Unionfs issues. iH8sn0w has released Sn0wbreeze 2.8 b1 to  jailbreak iOS 5 beta 1 on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. As always, Sn0wbreeze is a Windows jailbreak tool.

Those who are unaware, Sn0wbreeze is Windows based tool that jailbreaks stock IPSW file, adds customizations like boot, adds pre-installed Cydia sources or packages and gives you a custom pre-jailbroken IPSW. You can then restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch with this custom IPSW in iTunes.

If you have an iPhone 4 and an Apple Developer account, then you can download the iOS 5 b1 firmware. Thanks to the iPhone Dev Team, you can also jailbreak iOS 5 b1 using RedSn0w for the Mac. Just so you know, this procedure will cause you to upgrade your baseband, which will potentially ruin your chances for an unlock. It will not hacktivate so you must have your UDID registered  with a developer and it is tethered.

Several people are asking about the iOS 5 jailbreak and well there is good news as we reported before; MuscleNerd has jailbroken the OS with iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 1, 3rd and 4th gen iPod Touch compatibility. Just a day after releasing iTunes 10.3 to support some early iCloud features such as automatic downloads and access to previously purchased content, Apple has released iTunes 10.3.1, to fix critical issues in the application.
