IceWEB, Inc. A company that offers online storage, said in a press release today that it will begin to support the iPhone and iPod Touch. The new product will be called “IceShare” and will be available in the App Store for purchase individually or as a corporate license.

The app makes your texts disappear – or “self-destruct” according to the lifespan you establish for their existence. It really makes your text disappear, it’s not an exaggeration. Text messages are deleted from your iPhone, the device that received messages from you, and even the server that made your exchanges possible.

Whether you love Apple or hate apple, there is no way to deny the success Apple has had with its devices as well as with the iTunes Store. The digital media player, organizer, and salesperson has just now recorded its 10 billionth song download, marking a new achievement in the world of digital distribution. The numbers only seem like they will be going up due to Apple’s new device coming out, the iPad as well as the ever growing popularity of its current devices which allow people to have music on the go as well. “Explicit” Removed; Parental Control on iTunes
0There were reports that Apple has added a new “Explicit” category in the iTunes Connect system for App Store submissions. Recently Apple removed as many as 5,000 titles from the App Store that it determined were inappropriate.

CBS Interested In 99 Cent Shows On iTunes

CBS CEO Leslie Moonves has flatly told the Financial Times that they “are certain shows that will be sold on Apple for 99 cents.” There isn’t much room to misinterpret what Moonves has said. Other networks aren’t speaking on the record just yet but the Financial Times has reported that other companies have agreed to similar terms as well. FairPlay DRM For iBookstore

The Los Angeles Times is now reporting that Apple will be making its own FairPlay digital rights management available to any book publishers that wish to use it. A big disappointment for those who hoped that book’s on Apple’s iBookstore would be DRM-free as music is on iTunes. It shouldn’t be too much of a surprise considering how Apple still uses Fairplay for movies and TV shows that are sold on iTunes, not to mention apps as well. This morning, Apple activated the iTunes Preview feature for iPhone / iPod Touch applications in addition to music which was announced back in November 2009, when this feature was first introduced. Apple has released an updated version of iTunes 9.0.3. The latest iTunes update is sized at 98.1MB, and although it looks like a huge update, it comes packed with a number of bug fixes, including:
- iTunes no longer ignores your “Remember password for purchases†setting.
- Addresses problems with syncing some Smart Playlists and Podcasts with iPod.
- Resolves a problem recognizing when iPod is connected.
