Apple Punishes Jailbreakers; Cripples iBooks On Jailbroken iDevices

If you’ve jailbroken your iPhone using Greenpois0n, or Redsn0w then you might have noticed that you’re not able to open some eBooks using the iBooks app.

The iPhone Dev-Team member, @Comex, the developer behind jailbreaking tools like JailbreakMe and Spirit has figured out what might be causing the problem.

Sony Threatens Apple With Possibility To Withdraw From iTunes

It seems as if Sony appears to be at war with Apple and is currently threatening to pull its music from iTunes and their games from the App Store as well. Sony currently has plans on opening their own version of iTunes, an online streaming service called Music Unlimited. A service that will bring PlayStation titles to mobile platforms beginning with the Android platform. Maybe Sony is not happy about having their reader app rejected by Apple and seems to be taking their frustration out on the end users? FDA Approves Radiology App for iPad, iPhone And iPod Touch

The Food and Drug Administration has approved the first diagnostic radiology application for mobile devices, including both the iPad and iPhone.

New Splashtop Remote App Internet Video To iOS Devices

A new app named Splashtop Remote Desktop  has recently been released and it allows you to remotely access a computer from just about any iOS device. This is more then just another VNC app though because it brings to the table one key difference. The app lets you watch video content from the internet, including Hulu, on your iOS device. Angry Birds Rio Announced And Set To Release In March 2011

Recently, Rovio and 20th Century Fox have just released a new trailer for a new Angry Birds game, titled Angry Birds Rio. According to the press release, the game will be released for smartphones and tablets worldwide, including the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. Adobe Releases Photoshop Express 1.5 for iPad, iPhone And iPod Touch

Adobe has released a new version of Photoshop Express for iOS, v1.5, which promises support for the iPhone 4′s Retina Display, multitasking in iOS 4.2, and in-app photo taking using the iPhone and iPod touch’s camera. Qualcomm Baseband Evidence Found In iTunes Source Code

There has been new evidence of Qualcomm baseband software being found inside the source code of the current version of iTunes, which confirms that Apple has ended its sole reliance on Infineon as the supplier of baseband chips for iOS devices. A decompile of the iTunes source code done by an Italian coder revealed two files that are telltales of Qualcomm baseband, though there isn’t any hard evidence of which device they might be using it for. Possibilities include the upcoming Verizon iPhone or a potential “dual mode” GSM/CDMA iPhone 5 or iPad 2 as of right now.

Apple To Merge iTunes And Safari In One App [Rumor]

Is Apple on the verge of merging two of their biggest applications in the future? The folks over at Three Guys and a Podcast posted a new rumor about iTunes and Safari becoming one application before the year is out.
