Microsoft’s Windows 8 Demoed – Tablet Friendly OS
0Microsoft’s Steven Sinofsky began showing off the Windows 8 operating system (which is fully optimized for tablets) during the D9 conference in California. According to the folks over at AllThingsD, which got an early peak at the operating system, Microsoft’s ultimate goal was to create an OS that cold run on a home computer as well as run on a portable tablet.

We can’t say it is much of a surprise but congrats to Apple for being the rule of the laptop world. 1Opting out of waiting until CES 2011, Lenovo has unveiled a new Android 2.2-based slate. The slate will come in weight just under 2lbs while sporting a 10.1-inch display with the device being available in multiple colors and will have the option to dock it, making it more like a notebook with added power.
