Microsoft To Replace Toolbar With Ribbon In Windows 8
0Microsoft is experimenting with a new user interface for its upcoming next-generation operating system. Just hours after an early build of Microsoft’s new Windows 8 operating system leaked we’re starting to get a good idea of how the latest version of Windows is shaping up.
Windows 8, which would in part replace toolbars and the traditional ‘File, Edit, View’ bar with a Ribbon.
This may not seem as much of a surprise, as many applications in incumbent Windows 7, including Wordpad and Paint, along with trendsetting Office 2007 and 2010 applications, already include the Ribbon.

Gmail Motion Turned To Reality Thanks To Kinect
0It’s actually a bit surprising it took someone this long, but just 24 hours after Google’s brilliant Gmail Motion April fools joke appeared, it was turned into a reality. The folks over at Engadget bring news that some clever people with presumably more free time than they have talent have managed to create a real working implementation of Gmail Motion – the April fool’s joke from Google that would presumably allow users to use their email without the need for a keyboard or mouse. Hack Forces NoDo Update To Windows Phone 7 Devices
0Microsoft Windows Phone 7 Update (Build 7.0.7390.0) has become controversial as of late for no good reason. Although the update is now present but still not available for all the carriers. For those of you who are in the delivering phase of the NoDo update but have yet to receive it, folks over at XDA-Developers have found a simple hack that force the update, and best of all it really does work.

0Windows Phone 7 is starting to heat up recently with the infamous NoDo update starting to roll out to lucky handset owners. Microsoft Starts Rolling Out Windows 8 To OEMs Via Connect
1According to several forum posters over at mydigitallife, Microsoft has started issuing Windows 8 build 7971.0.110324-1900 to computer manufacturers via its Connect internal testing system — also known as the “Windows 8 and Server vNext Pre-Release Program.”
Windows 8 interface is believed to be fully 3D, dynamic and able to adapt to user habits. Icons and shortcuts will adapt to different usage scenarios to speed up daily tasks. OS X 10.7 Lion Server Replaces Samba With Windows Networking Tools
1The upcoming release of Mac OS X 10.7 Lion Server will remove the formerly bundled open source Samba software and replace it with Apple’s own tools for Windows file sharing and network directory services. The Samba team has moved active development of the project to the more strict GPLv3 license, which prevents Apple from realistically using the software commercially. Microsoft Releases Internet Explorer 9, Now Available To Download
0The software giant has spent a year perfecting its latest and greatest browser, after originally unveiling the first IE9 developer Platform Preview a year ago on March 16. The company announced and released the original beta in September and a Release Candidate in February. Microsoft’s final version, available today, is only six months after the first beta.

Android And BlackBerry OS Pass iPhone In Total Smartphone Market Share
0According to the most recent data published by prominent digital measurement provider, comScore, Google’s Android and Research in Motion’s BlackBerry have become the largest mobile platforms, respectively at the onset of this new year.
