Apple Patents “Anti-Sexting” Technology For iPhone
1The US Patent and Trademark office recently approved a patent that Apple had submitted back in 2008. The patent is for something that is being described as a “Text-based communication control for personal communication device.” In short, if you don’t understand the jargon, this is basically an application that would control the content of text messages arriving and going from your communication device like the iPhone. Although it might be called whatever Apple has called it, it is in essence, basically an anti-sexting application.

PwnageTool 4.1 Rumored To Jailbreak All Future Firmwares On A4 Chip
2MuscleNerd, a respected member/developer of the iPhone Dev-Team, has hinted at the possibility of PwnageTool being able to provide untethered jailbroken firmware creation for ALL future firmware updates on devices that use the A4 chip (iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4G and iPad).
MuscleNerd confirms via Twitter that they have figured out a way to extend PwnageTool support to iOS 4.2 and beyond, with the help of Limera1n and Comex’s hack, for all A4 based devices which include iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4G and iPad. It will be an untethered jailbreak.

Apple Possibly Speaking To Carriers In India To Launch CDMA iPhone
0The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Apple is in talks with two major network carriers in India over the possibility of launching a CDMA-based iPhone in the country. The carriers in question are Tata Teleservices and Reliance Communications, who are among the biggest players in the CDMA segment, which constitutes close to 20% of the more than 670 million strong mobile subscriber base in India. Limera1n Exploit Ported To PwnageTool; Jailbreak Coming Soon
1As we all know by now that members of the iPhone Dev-Team have been working hard to come up with the updated version of PwnageTool to jailbreak iOS 4.1. They released a demo video of the tool working with the SHAtter exploit, but since the release of GeoHot’s “limera1n” jailbreak, the dev-team members have edited pwnagetool and are using the limera1n exploit found by GeoHot and saving the SHAtter exploit for later use.

New Baseband Exploit Found; Unlock For iOS 4.1/4.2 Coming Soon
0Veeence recently confirmed that the iPhone Dev Team is not going to release an UltraSn0w unlock for iOS 4.1 basebands (05.14/02.10) until iOS 4.2 is released which is due in November.
Earlier today, developer Sherif Hashim announced that he has found a new exploitable crash in iPhone baseband which may lead to and unlock for iOS 4.2 and iOS 4.1 Baseband 05.14.02 and 02.10.04.

Apple Released iOS 4.2 Beta 3 & iTunes 10.1 Beta 2 To Developers
3Apple has just released the iOS 4.2 Beta3 Software Update build 8C5115c and iOS SDK Beta3 for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G, iPod touch 4G and iOS. The update is currently available at developer.apple.com.
There are no documented changes, but as word spreads and developers dig inside, we’ll be sure to share the new features in this release. There are rumors that the new Beta has a slight performance increase, of course nothing technical has been reported. There has also been some discussion about this Beta having some new additional SMS tones to choose from on your iPhones.
