Earlier today Apple released iOS 4.3.1 for iPhone 4, 3GS, iPad 2, iPad, and iPod touch 4G/3G. If you upgraded to iOS 4.3.1, and now you want to downgrade back to iOS 4.3, iOS 4.2.1 or 4.1, simply follow the instructions posted below to downgrade iOS 4.3.1 on iPhone 4, 3GS, iPod touch, iPad 2 and iPad 1 to iOS 4.3, iOS 4.2.1, 4.1, 4.0.x.

Important:

This process is only for those who have already saved the ECIDs with SHSH to Cydia Server for iOS 4.1, iOS 4.0.1 or iOS 4.0.2 and we are sure that you had saved it before the release of iOS 4.2.

Earlier today Apple released iOS 4.3.1, a relatively minuscule security and maintenance update widely anticipated to drop soon anyway for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

Apple Looking To “Radically Improve” Maps And Location Services In iOS 5

Back in late 2009, Apple acquired a mapping company called PlaceBase and since then there have been many rumors stating that Apple is working to revamp their built-in maps application. Rumors have covered a redesigned iOS application all the way to Apple creating their own maps database – with PlaceBase’s data – to replace Google’s backend which is currently used in iOS maps. As rumored, Apple has just released iOS 4.3.1 for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Apple may have released iOS 4.3.1 to fix the iPad 2 jailbreak vulnerability and improve battery life as some users have noticed significant decrease in battery life after upgrading to iOS 4.3.

Sony Ericsson To Update Xperia X10 To Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS

Sony Ericsson seems to have had a change of heart when it came to the Xperia X10, a few months ago they stated that X10 won’t be receiving any further Android updates, and today they made an announcement stating that the Xperia X10 will be getting the Android 2.3.3 (Gingerbreak) OS sometime in late Q2 or early Q3. Blackberry PlayBook Rumored To Run Android Apps

It’s been rumored on and off for a few weeks now, but today RIM finally confirmed that its upcoming PlayBook tablet which runs a new QNX operating system will support both Blackberry AppWorld Apps as well as those originally designed for the Android platform.

According to RIM, Android developers will not be able to just run their apps straight off the bat, however. Instead they will have to repackage, re-sign and submit their apps to the BlackBerry App World, which is not a huge obstacle.

Revamped MobileMe To Include Music Locker, Costs $20 Per Year

Apple’s new and free version of MobileMe is reportedly set to launch in April, folks over at The Music Void claim that Apple’s new MobileMe will have a major music component, dubbed a ‘locker.’  The report does not provide any further details about this ‘locker’ but the past reports hint towards the new service as your digital life stored in the cloud.

The upcoming release of Mac OS X 10.7 Lion Server will remove the formerly bundled open source Samba software and replace it with Apple’s own tools for Windows file sharing and network directory services.
