Apple Considering Sprint As iPhone 5 Reseller Along With AT&T and Verizon

Citadel Securities analyst Shing Yin estimates that the next-gen iPhone will call Sprint home before the end of 2011. From a business standpoint, it just makes sense to do. With AT&T and Verizon sharing the carrier stage in the U.S, Apple is likely interested in expanding to the nation’s third-largest wireless provider. Sprint, much like Verizon runs on a CDMA-network, which can easily be added to Apple’s domestic carrier list – a move that would benefit all parties (except for AT&T and Verizon). “We believe Sprint could capture more than its fair share of iPhone sales,” Yin writes, “especially if it gets the new model at the same time as AT&T and Verizon.”

Leaked Documents Hint At AT&T 4G LTE-Ready iPad 3, iPhone 5

Some of the leaked AT&T documents from the last of LulzSec’s hacking endeavors ended up revealing information about a potential “4G” LTE-ready iPad 3 and iPhone 5. Despite closing down all hacking activity just yesterday, the group of six anonymous hackers who go by the name of LulzSec are still around in the news. The last torrent they uploaded was full of confidential (and poorly secured) data from the likes of AOL, different gaming forums, EA Games’ Battlefield Heroes’ user database, and of course, AT&T.

References To New iPod Touch Found in Apple’s iOS 5 Beta

There are new references that were found of an unreleased version of Apple’s iPod Touch, which have turned up in code strings found inside the company’s first beta of iOS 5. The discovery may raise more questions than answers though. An Apple Carrier Partner In UAE Confirms 4G-LTE Capable iPhone 5

With WWDC 2011 behind us, enthusiasts are starting to look at what’s to come for the next-generation iPhone, which is rumored to be announced in the next few months. A spokesman at Etisalat, a United Arab Emirates-based carrier that currently carries the iPhone 4, mentioned a 4G-based “iPhone 5.”

Chief Corporate Communication Officer at the carrier, Ali Al Ahmad, went as far as saying that there would be an iPhone 5 with LTE capabilities by the end of this year as Etisalat rolls out G in more areas:

Xbox Live To Be Integrated Into Windows 8

Microsoft is taking some affirmative steps towards unifying their themes and services across different platforms. The first efforts were seen in the form of the Metro design language which started from Windows Phone 7 and then moved on to Xbox Live, Microsoft Office, and Windows 8. Recent news takes this process of unifying a step further: Microsoft’s Xbox Live gaming and entertainment service for Windows Phone 7 and Xbox 360 is coming to Windows 8 next year.

The new Apple A5 processor-based architecture in the iPad 2 is proving to be a difficult issue to overcome. The Limera1n exploit, which worked previously on A4-based iOS devices like the iPod Touch 4G and iPhone 4, is hardware-based and since the iPad 2 is A5-based, the exploit does not work on it. Apple Recalling Certain Verizon iPad 2′s Due To 3G Connectivity Issues

According to the folks over at 9to5Mac, Apple is reportedly recalling Verizon iPad 2 shipments and asking Apple Retail employees to locate certain iPad 2s and send them back to Apple. Apple’s discussion boards recently lit up with the complaints from customers who had their iPad shipments mysteriously sent back to Apple. Sources are now offering a little more information on the situation:
