Apple And Verizon Set To Launch CDMA iPhone on February 3rd, 2011

The folks over at BGR are reporting that both Apple and verizon are all set to announce a CDMA version of the iPhone 4 on February 3rd.

They cited factors such as the blacked out employee vacation requests between the dates of February 3rd and February 6th, along with the trend of the Verizon announcements on Thursdays to conclude that it is indeed going to be February 3rd – the day that we will all finally get to see AT&T lose its iPhone exclusivity to Verizon in the US.

Back in June of last year, Apple picked the dates of 24th to the 27th for its iPhone 4 weekend launch — also a Thursday More >

Verizon Disappoints With No iPhone Announcement At CES 2011 Keynote

During the Keynote speech from Verizon’s CEO Ivan Seidenberg everyone was on the edge of their seat waiting for the news that everyone expected to hear, but that news never came. We were all left shocked with our jaws on the floor when the keynote address ended and there had not been a single mention of the CDMA iPhone for Verizon‘s network. As for now we’re left clinging to the hope that maybe such a large announcement would be made by Steve Jobs at an Apple event rather than at CES 2011, hopefully. When do you think Verizon will stop teasing us and announce their plans for an iPhone on More >

HP Opts Out Of Making Big Announcement At CES

0

With CES 2011 upon us tomorrow it’s intriguing to have a company make announcement that has nothing to do with CES. HP is stating that there is a special announcement that’s going to be made on February 9th. As for details regarding what the announcement will be covering or what makes it “special” are not known and the only thing we know is that we need to “Think Big, Think Small, Think Beyond”. This is leading to us to believe that there will be more than one product announced on the 9th. It’s possible that “Think Big” refers to a webOS-powered tablet, while “Think Small” could easily mean More >

With the flood of tablets entering the arena at CES 2011 it’s absolutely necessary for the smaller companies to separate themselves from the crowd in hopes of being recognized and remembered. eLocity found a good way to do that, even though it’s made some people upset in the process. The company has gone against Google’s wishes and has outed Android 3.0 -Honeycomb- ahead of the scheduled official announcement. Most of you have probably never heard of eLocity, but even with that being the case, the new tableteer has several devices in the works for release this year. In a press release today, More >

Honeycomb, Google’s new Android tablet OS will be requiring a dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor to be run correctly say Bobby Cha, the managing director of Korean consumer electronics firm Enspert. Unfortunately, this means that existing Android run tablets can’t upgrade to Honeycomb because they lack the processing strength to meet the required specs. Manufacturers are stating that they’ll be moving to the new processor architecture for 2011 but as it stands now, Nvidia’s Tegra 2 platform is the only chipset on the market that includes a Cortex-A9. Some people are also saying that a 1280 x More >

While the hopes of seeing Apple and Verizon unveiling a new iPhone model in the upcoming months is high, the purchase of a few domain names is not a reliable indicator of an upcoming launch. As MacRumors mentioned, the domain names in More >
