Earlier today Apple seeded the 2nd Beta of iPhone OS 4.0 build 8a248c along with the iPhone SDK 4 beta 2 10M2240 build, which was available  to the registered developers to download through the Apple’s developer site.

iPhone Os 4.0 beta 1 was reported to be a bit buggy and developers were hoping for more stability with beta 2. Based on initial reports the new beta version of iPhone OS 4 includes some changes and bug fixes.

Apple announced the next generation of  iPhone firmware iPhone OS 4.0 yesterday showing all over 100 news features, and over 1500 new API’s which were made available to the developers with the SDK.

Within 24hrs, a Jailbreak for iPhone OS 4.0 has been announced and shown in a video demo by The Dev-Team member MuscleNerd.

Apple iPhone OS 4 Event on April 8th!

Apple recently announced an iPhone OS 4 event on April 8th at 10AM for a “sneak peek of the next generation of iPhone OS software.” If you were one of the many people holding out and/or wondering about the future of the platform, your answers will be here sooner than you might of thought. iPad vs iPhone 3GS vs Nexus One; Browser Speed Test

AnandTech recently benchmarked the iPhone 3GS, the iPad, and the Google Nexus One devices to one another and found out that the iPad is usually faster than the Nexus One, but the Nexus One also routinely beats the iPhone 3GS by a significant amount. Other tests show that the iPad is twice as fast the iPhone 3GS. All of these tests that were run were browser tests, which make them a fairly narrow focus, but the company did promise more thorough test results soon.
