Microsoft Announces XBox Live on Original XBox goes away April 15th

Microsoft is slowly pushing original XBox owners to upgrade to the XBox 360. The software giant discontinued the original XBox in late 2008 and officially stopped supporting the aging console in March 2009. In a final effort to encourage folks to upgrade, Microsoft has announced that it will be pulling the plug on XBox Live for all original XBox consoles and XBox-compatible games starting April 15th.
As always Microsoft promises that you won’t be disappointed.

Recently in our post we mentioned, iPhone Hacker George Hotz had successfully hacked the PlayStation3. Hotz has now released the hack to the mass.

iPhone hacker who gained props for unlocking Apple’s iPhone as a teenager (George Hotz) has told BBC News that he has now hacked Sony’s PlayStation 3 (PS3).
George Hotz said the hack, which could allow people to run pirated games or homemade software, took him five weeks.
Hotz rose to fame in 2007 at the age of 17 when he unlocked the iPhone, which could only be used on the AT&T network in the US at launch.
The hack allowed the popular handset to be used on any network.
He has since released various other hacks, allowing people to unlock later versions of the popular handset
